When staying in the Red Deer area there is no other choice for a hotel than the Holiday Inn Express Red Deer. The city of Red Deer is located about half way between Edmonton and Calgary off of Highway 2. The hotel is easy accessed from the highway and you do not have to spend a great deal of time looking for the hotel once you turn off the highway. Located next to the hotel are a number of golf courses and other leisure facilities. Red Deer is not known for its great shopping and guests are always surprised to learn that minutes from hotel there are a number of shopping centers such as Bower Place Shopping Center and South Point Common. If you are staying in the area while on business you will be pleased to find that the Holiday Inn Express Red Deer is located near Red Deers business and industrial areas.
The Holiday Inn Express in Red Deer has a number of features that are not found in any of the hotels in the city. It has a large indoor saltwater pool with a water slide. The water slide is often a selling feature for people who are travelling with kids. Parents know that the kids will want to spend endless hours in the pool and this will give the adults time to relax in the either the hot tub, sauna or fitness room that are also in the hotel. There is also a private courtyard where you can go and get that extra relaxation time when you need it. If you are looking to get out of the hotel and enjoy the area there are a number of parks and walking trails a short distance from the hotel.
The Holiday Inn Express Red Deer has some of the largest standard hotel rooms of any hotel in the surrounding area. Each room offers guests a number of features, some of which include, large televisions with in-room movies and games, high speed internet is offered to guests free of charge. There is also a hairdryer and a microwave in each room. There are some premium suites in the hotel that do offer guests upgrade features and options. There are a number of kids suites however these rooms do book up quickly and are often hard to get. This is not the type of room that you would leave to book at the last minute. The only downfall of the Holiday Inn Express Red Deer is that it does not have a formal dining area inside the hotel. However, just minutes from the hotel you will find a number of restaurants and fast food establishments. If you are looking to have a sit down meal or just want to grab something quick there is something in Red Deer for you. While there is no dining room in the hotel guests will still receive a complimentary hot breakfast that will help them start out the day.
