Located in a clearing of towering Monterey Pines, this lodge is designed to fit the travel needs of both business travelers and vacationers to the coast. The villages famous Ocean Avenue is only 2 blocks away and features many art galleries, fining dining establishments, artists studios, spas and boutique style shopping experiences. Relaxing beach strolls can be found just a mile down the road at the Carmel beach.
The Carmel Lodge offers its guests all of the standard amenities. These amenities include a free Continental style breakfast, a solar heated pool surrounded by neat gardens, free afternoon cookies, high speed wireless internet and a 24 hour manned front desk. Business meetings and conferences can be held in the lodges private meeting rooms and banquet rooms. On site park is available.
Visitors to the Carmel Lodge will have five different room options to choose from. There are a total of 38 rooms in the lodge; all of the guestrooms are non-smoking. The lodges 10 standard rooms feature queen sized beds, name brand memory foam beds and Sound Soother alarm clocks from Sharper Image. There are 3 standard rooms available with two beds as well. The 14 Premium rooms have a separate dressing room and spacious bathrooms. Select Premium rooms contain fireplaces. The Cottage Suite is a 625 square foot suite with a master bedroom, a living room, a guest bedroom, plasma screen TVs and enough room to sleep 6 people. Dogs are allowed in the guestrooms (the Cottage Suite not included) for an extra charge. Guestrooms feature internet, cable TV and pleasant furnishings. In room massages are available upon request.
The town of Carmel By The Sea on the Monterey Peninsula is filled with famous tourist attractions. It has a rich artistic history, including several famous mayors. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a local favorite. Many of the shops and restaurants are dog-friendly. Scenic drives include sweeping views of the Big Sur, 17 Mile Drive and the coastline of California. Golfers love the region. It is home to the Pebble Beach Golf Course, which is one of the most famous courses in the world. Wildlife watchers and photographers can enjoy the Los Padres National Forest located near the this lodge. The Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca race track hosts a number of annual events and is located 13 miles from the lodge. Carmel Valley offers many wine tasting and vineyard tours. Outdoor activities in the region include surfing, sailing, swimming, beachcombing, boating, kayaking and scuba diving. Local festivals include the Carmel Art Festival, the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival, Big Surs Mud Run and the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golfing tournament.
