Located right on the Coral Sea, the Capricorn Resort Yeppoon is a sun-filled resort perfect for couples or families. On site at the resort are two great golf courses, many different restaurants, numerous free water activities, horseback riding, tours of the wetland and canoe tours of the waterways. There are even bus tours of the lush rainforest for you to experience.
The bush and wetlands are located within the confines of the resort so you can just walk about in it and experience the flora and fauna of the area. There are 20 kilometers of pristine beach available just for resort-goers. The Great Barrier Reef is nearby and there are the tropical islands nearby called the Keppel Island Group. Of course, you can stay at the resort and sip drinks by the pool, relaxing in the sunshine. The pool is one of the biggest in Australia.

The Capricorn Resort Yeppoon has more than twenty five free activities to enjoy as part of your stay. You can play tennis in one of their tennis courts, play totem tennis, lawn bowling, table tennis, miniature golf, giant chess games, soccer games, cricket, football, and volleyball. You can use the gym and play ball in the pool or use pool noodles.
They have equipment for badminton, bocce ball, boogie boarding and a spa and sauna for you to enjoy. There is a waterslide for adults and kids alike and a childrens playground. Stroll the grounds on walking tracks or rent bicycles, kickboards or sea kayaks. They have kites for you to fly and scheduled fitness classes so you can remain fit on your vacation.
Adventure travelers can enjoy one of two golf courses, tours of the wetland areas, fishing on the beach, horseback riding or pony riding, bicycling, archery, canoe adventures in the rainforest and sumptuous massage and other spa treatments. Blokarting is offered as is stand up paddle boarding. You can tour the great Keppel Islands by boat. There are several restaurants at the resort. They include the Billabong Restaurant, which is open for a great breakfast and dinner every day of the week. The breakfast is buffet style and they also have the Saturday evening buffet, which offers surf and turf.
The Lagoon restaurant is elegant and is open on Friday and Saturday for dinner. It offers contemporary Australian fare in a tropical and elegant atmosphere. The Tsuruya Japanese Restaurant is open from Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. There is fun tableside cooking with delicate Japanese cuisine. There are also two bars open in the evening for cocktails.
