Aspen Meadows Resort Luxurious and Inspiring
Set on 40 acres in the West End of Aspen, Colorado, the Aspen Meadows Resort is the perfect destination for a relaxing vacation. It is located on the shores of the Roaring Fork River offering breathtaking views of the Colorado Rockies. Activities are available to suit all ages and interests, which means that bored is not in the vocabulary of the resort.
This is an all-suite destination with 98 spacious suites decorated in the Bauhaus style. Each of these features floor to ceiling windows letting in an abundance of natural light and providing access to the mountain views. Whether you are here on business or for pleasure, the suites are designed to suit everyone. The living area is separated from the sleeping area and there is a dedicated work space. There are wet bars, mini-fridges, coffee makers and Internet access in all suites, as well as HD flat screen TVs and iPod docking stations.
The outdoor pool of the Aspen Meadows Resort is located on top of a bluff so that you have sweeping views of the river as you swim in the fresh air. The heated saltwater hot tub and the lap pool are open all year round. The fitness center offers the services of a personal trainer for your work out needs. It is the training center for many of the athletes in the Aspen area. In addition, the spa has a variety of therapeutic massage treatments and aesthetic services.
The Rio Grande Trail is perfect for hiking or biking. You can rent bikes at the resort. This trail winds its way through the neighborhood of Aspen where you will find the majority of stately homes. There are six tennis courts, two of which are cushioned. If you dont play tennis, you can take lessons from one of the pros on staff. There are also outfitters on the resort offering fly fishing tours, water rafting and horseback riding as well as many other types of activities.
Dining is a spectacular experience at this resort. Platos Restaurant is a scenic venue offering sumptuous cuisine. Due to the efforts of Chef Todd Slossberg, this restaurant boasts some of the best cuisine in the Roaring Forks region. The vegetables are grown in the restaurants own garden and other ingredients come from the farms in the area. Meadows Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch with impeccable service and exceptional food. Both of these venues offer in-room dining if you dont feel like leaving your room. Relax with a drink at Hefners Lounge where there is also a menu to choose from if you want some munchies.
During the winter months, activities at the Aspen Meadows Resort cater to those who like playing in the snow. Ice skating, dog sled rides and sleigh rides are some of the delights that the resort offers. Downtown Aspen is quite close to the resort where you can engage in shopping or sightseeing. Aspen Institute is located right on the resort. Some of the recommended attractions of Aspen include the Aspen Art Museum, the Wheeler Opera House and the Ashcroft Ghost Town.
